GOWRAN PARK SATURDAY 18 FEBRUARY - Change of Rider Eligibility for Race 36F
Trainers are requested to note that this race is now NOT an International Jockeys Invitational race (as published on page 58 of the Irish Racing Calendar 19 January issue). The race is open to all professional NH jockeys and those Qualified Riders with a Category 'C' Licence.
Trainers: You can now return unnamed horses in training using RÁS. Owing to greater requirements in the traceability of horses and to comply with rules surrounding record-keeping of horses’ whereabouts, HRI now provides a facility for returning unnamed horses through RÁS.
NOTICE TO TRAINERS REGARDING QUALIFICATION TO ENTER IN HANDICAP CHASES
Trainers are reminded that Horses rated 102 or less over hurdle that have run in at least 4 or more Handicap Hurdles (Handicap Hurdles with any rating band) may be allowed straight into a handicap chase on a weight equivalent to their hurdle mark. All cases are at the discretion of the handicapper.

The IRE Incentive scheme is a new initiative from Horse Racing Ireland designed to stimulate and fortify Irish thoroughbred breeding, racing and Sales.
NOTICE TO TRAINERS REGARDING STABLE CAPACITY AT RACEMEETINGS
In view of the requirement for one stable for every declared runner at racemeetings, Horse Racing Ireland would like to remind Trainers that every effort will be made to ensure we can obtain the maximum number of runners that the stable capacity limit will allow at all racemeetings. Trainers are asked to note that field size limits in races are being altered right up to declaration time (10am) to maximise the number of runners each day based on stable capacity.
IRISH TRAINED RUNNERS IN GREAT BRITAIN - LOW GRADE HANDICAPS FROM 1st JANUARY 2023
Allow for overseas trained runners to participate in low grade handicaps other than at those times of year where there are insufficient opportunities for British trained
runners – i.e. 1st September to 31st December on the Flat..........Handicappers to withhold a handicap rating where they have concerns about accurately rating a particular horse with possible reasons for refusal including being beaten an excessive distance or non completion in recent starts..........Expected to increase annual runners by c200 on the Flat and c80 over Jumps.
