Lever Du Soleil completed an eight-day hat-trick for in-form Gavin Cromwell, with a facile success in the racingtv.com Handicap at Catterick.
The four-year-old was continuing his Navan trainer’s remarkable recent run, providing his 11th winner since July 3.
That was the day Lever Du Soleil began his purple patch with victory at Musselburgh. The Le Havre gelding then followed up at Ayr on Monday, and he made it three in effortless fashion two days later – despite having a 10lb penalty.
Lever Du Soleil (10-11 favourite) barely gave his supporters an anxious moment as he travelled kindly throughout the two-mile journey in the hands of Clifford Lee.
He was produced in the centre of the course to lead two furlongs from home before going on to score by 11 lengths. Lord Lamington was best of the rest.
